Coors Field is a traditional open-air, natural-grass ballpark that combines the comforts of a modern stadium with the atmosphere of old-time ballparks.

The stadium has a capacity of 50,200 including 63 luxury boxes and 4,500 club seats and was constructed on a structural steel frame with a hand-laid masonry facade. Coors Field also has a ballpark club with a view of the playing field and the Rocky Mountains that can serve approximately 500 patrons. Other amenities include an outdoor picnic area adjacent to the bullpens, a family area, and an arcade and video game center. CMTS performed construction management services for the construction of Coors Field in Denver, Colorado. This $131 million ballpark serves as the home for Major League Baseball’s Colorado Rockies.

CMTS was a part of a joint venture that was selected to be the associate general contractor for this project. The joint venture’s responsibilities included the supervision and direction of subcontractors, project scheduling, contract management, selection of contractors, document control and the overall management of this project.

In addition to project management, CMTS performed several aspects of the general contractor’s work involved with the construction of Coors Field. Among these was the renovation of Student Mover’s building, a gas station, and performing site improvements such as landscaping, parking lots, sidewalks, roadways, curbs and gutters, and constructing substantial portions of the structural concrete frame.
