In 2013, as a result of an ADA assessment throughout the Richland College campus, 20 facilities required ADA upgrades to eliminate architectural barriers for the ADA community.
The ADA upgrade program consisted of renovations and additions to existing buildings and the addition of two new elevators. CMTS provided construction management services to assist completion of the ADA improvements in 2014.

At 300 acres, Richland College is one of the largest of seven community colleges campuses within the Dallas County Community College District. The ADA improvements included widening of entrances and upgrades to doors and hardware, alterations to millwork, stairs, ramps, railings, plumbing Items, restrooms, replacements of furniture and furnishings, graphics/signage, concrete site work, sidewalks and parking improvements to increase accessible paths to buildings and concrete sidewalks to sports facilities.
