
Touted as one of the largest and most successful capital improvement programs in the history of Fort Lauderdale, the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Water and Wastewater Capital Improvement Program, WaterWorks 2011, consisted of a total of 146 water, sewer and water main installations as well as pump station rehabilitation and new construction projects worth $230 million.

Projects were located throughout the City CMTS is providing Construction Engineering Inspection services for the City of Ft. Lauderdale Waterworks program.

Projects include the installation, testing, and restoration of pipeline projects including water mains ranging in size from 4 to 24 inches, gravity sewers ranging in size from 6 to 18 inches, force mains ranging in size from 4 to 24 inches and miscellaneous stormwater drainage projects.

Community involvement and interaction with the public is an essential part of this project as CMTS staff continuously interact with businesses and local residents to keep them abreast of the upcoming construction plans to ensure pedestrian safety.
