The City of Portland replaced the 1912 Fulton Pump Station with the Hannah Mason Pump Station in Willamette Park.

The pump station had been expanded several times but lacked the capacity for Portland’s future water needs. CMTS performed inspection and commissioning services for the Agency/Owner, including construction field observation, inspection coordination, construction cost accounting, start-up assistance. record drawings, post-construction evaluation, warranty review, and project closeout.

Completed in 2017, the 18 MGD capacity replacement pump station consists of a building structure, five pumps, public restrooms, and park equipment storage.

The station was designed to complement Willamette Park, blending into the surrounding landscape. The Water Bureau worked in close conjunction with Portland Parks & Recreation and other local agencies to coordinate this project with ongoing operations and other projects in the area.
