CMTS provided construction management services for the Ontario International Airport Inline baggage System.

The Project entailed construction of two new baggage handling buildings attached to existing Terminals 2 and 4. These 32,825 square feet one-story structures house the new baggage handling conveyors. The conveyors were replacements of existing airline baggage handling spaces and include state-of-the-art construction of new baggage screening rooms; replacement of outbound baggage conveyor systems and installation/integration of TSA provided Explosion Detection Systems (EDS) machines.

Also included in the project scope are Explosion Trace (EDT) workstations, On-Screen Resolution (OSR) Control Rooms and Access Control and Alarm Monitoring Systems/Closed-Circuit Television (ACAMS/CCTV) security systems that meet current security technology.

CMTS provided construction bidding support, quality control, negotiation and processing of change orders, resident engineering, and other specialized services such as constructability review, estimating, claims avoidance measures, and review and evaluation of project submittals.

CMTS was responsible for the review and approval of the project baseline and updates to the monthly cost — loaded schedule. We maintained a computerized document control system, processed monthly payment requests, prepared TSA cost reimbursement documentation, and provided oversight of the Owner Controlled Insurance Program on behalf of the project.
