The Columbia Building is 12,400 square foot office and meeting space, partially earth sheltered and including an Ecoroof structure for both stormwater control and thermal mass.
Construction of this facility was part of a larger treatment plant improvement project. CMTS performed construction management, administration, and field observation services for the Agency/Owner, including inspection coordination, project schedule monitoring, RFI coordination, change order authentication, start-up assistance, project closeout, record drawings, post-construction evaluation, and construction cost accounting. The building was completed in 2013 and certified as a LEED Gold structure.

The Columbia Building is CMU and reinforced concrete construction featuring water source heat pumps, hydronic floor and fresh air ventilation, and photocell-controlled lighting. It has a complete Cat-5 data system including VOIP and remote conferencing capabilities.

Site redevelopment integrated the building with the plant campus, which created a more welcoming public entrance, demonstrates sustainable practices, and fulfilled the need for more site security.
